ABOUT THE ROLE

The Social Media Officer role is part of the Digital team and it sits within the Communication department, which is part of the Church of England Central Services. They work in partnership with the Archbishop’s Communication teams at Lambeth Palace and Bishopthorpe Palace.

The Social Media Officer will be supporting the Social Media Manager to create content to a diverse audience whilst bringing out digital evangelism, discipleship and many more beneficial content through our national channels and platforms.

Core Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for community management and daily content creation and monitoring key topics of focus.
  • To develop innovative and strategic social media content and campaigns to attract people to connect with their local church and communities whilst encouraging them to deepen their faith and share the works of the Church.
  • You will be liaising with the wider team and departments across the NCIs via social message i.e. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and many more.

WHAT WE OFFER 

Your Salary

  • A salary of £38,918, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

  • 25 days annual leave (increasing to 30 days within 5 years) plus eight bank holidays and three additional days (pro-rated if working part-time).
  • We welcome all flexible working arrangements requests with locations with an expectation of just 1-2 days per week in the Church House office/base office location. This is looked at in a case-by-case scenario and if this fits within the department’s needs.
