ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role as a Programme Officer is to support the delivery of the Church of England Education Office’s National Professional Qualification (NPQ) program.

You will work within a team of Programme Officers that manages the administration and management of the NPQ work, which is currently undertaken in a variety of portfolios – through directly contracted Delivery Partners and via our National Programme which is delivered directly by the Education Office. Each Programme Officer individually takes a different focus or area of responsibility to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality programmes across the country. Therefore this role offers the opportunity to develop project management skills over time in a holistic way.

Core Responsibilities

  • To provide internal and external facing support duties.
  • To provide administrative and recruitment support within the NPQ team, this includes having excellent inbox management and communication skills with the ability to engage with our stakeholders clearly, and concisely, as well as responding respectfully.
  • Take responsibility for completing Department for Education evidence checks.
  • Scheduling and setting up online forms and being responsible for salesforce management and reporting.

Key Requirements

The post-holder will need to travel for the following reasons:

  • Education Office Team Days (3 per year)
  • Education Office Residential (2 days, including 1 overnight stay in the autumn)
  • NPQ Team Days (approx. 3 per year)

Your Salary

  • A salary of £33,382, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

  • 25 days annual leave (increasing to 30 days within 5 years) plus eight bank holidays and three additional days (pro-rated if working part-time).
