Events and Team Coordinator

About the Department Role

You will coordinate and deliver national and local events and provide core administrative support that enables the Enabling Choice delivery team to engage effectively with clergy and diocesan partners. You will manage event logistics, maintain high standards of attendee experience, administer budgets and contracts, and ensure smooth operational delivery for workshops, seminars, conferences and online sessions. You will work closely with colleagues in customer service, communications, digital and regional teams to turn insight into well-designed events, capture feedback and make continuous improvements.


What you'll be doing

Planning and delivering online and in person events

  • Design event formats such as seminars, workshops and webinars to meet service goals
  • Manage an annual calendar that supports regional priorities and national service delivery.
  • Prepare run sheets, risk assessments and accessibility plans for each event, as required.

Managing logistics and suppliers

  • Book venues, catering, travel and accommodation within budget and procurement rules
  • Brief and manage suppliers including speakers, facilitators and technical teams

Supporting inclusive participation and digital Access

  • Support registration and communications to help attendees prepare and feel welcomed
  • Assist with event moderation, where needed and ensure environments are inclusive, respectful and professionally run
  • Coordinate accessibility, dietary and safeguarding needs so all participants can take part safely and comfortably
  • Provide technical support for online and hybrid events, including setup, troubleshooting and use of interactive tools
  • Ensure recordings and resources are available after events and accessible across different devices and levels of digital confidence

Reporting, Evaluation and Speaker Coordination

  • Collect feedback and attendance data to improve future events
  • Write post-event reports

Team Administration and Financial Support

  • Support the Governance structure for the work e.g. arranging meetings, taking notes, following up actions.  
  • Process invoices, raise purchase orders and track basic spending for the wider team
  • Support senior leaders in pulling the team together for meetings including facilitating and arranging training
  • Support onboarding of new colleagues.
  • Support other team projects, pilots and service launches as needed
  • Support the Board’s Safeguarding policy and procedures 

About You

What we offer
Your Salary 
  • A salary of £40,572 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.
