Cornerstone Project Manager

Post Introduction

The Cornerstone Project Manager will lead the successful implementation of Cornerstone, an innovative online generosity tool designed to help churches grow a culture of generosity and strengthen financial resilience. This pivotal role will enable sustainable ministry by supporting churches in growing their giving.

Cornerstone is available free of charge to all Church of England churches and offers three key functions: Insights, Pathways, and a Grants database.

You will oversee the diocesan rollout in partnership with Diocesan Giving Advisors—managing everything from onboarding to delivering in-person workshops across the country. The role also involves supporting churches with data interpretation, user support, and resource creation, while ensuring platform functionality and development in line with a three-year roadmap.

Reporting directly to the Head of Giving, you will play a key role in building strong relationships with dioceses and maintaining our partnership with The Kindness of Strangers.

  • Lead nationwide rollout of Cornerstone, including planning and delivering workshops and training.
  • Manage project governance, timelines, budgets, risks, and reporting.
  • Oversee platform performance, enhancements, and agile development cycles.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across dioceses and internal teams.
  • Line-manage the Cornerstone Project Support Officer.
  • Advocate for Cornerstone at meetings, conferences, and forums.
  • Contribute to communications and promotional activities for the platform.
Key Role Requirements
  • This role involves some travel across England and Wales and may occasionally require weekend work. If the postholder is not based at Church House, they will need to attend meetings and training there as required.
  • The position is primarily home-based until 31 December 2028, with an expectation to attend Church House once or twice a month.
